Paul's bowls journey began in 2015, when he and his wife Maggie were invited along to a Pelhams Open Day by Steve and Jill Oliver. Like many new bowlers, Paul admits he was absolutely terrified at first but determined to do his very best. That first visit sparked a passion for the game and the club that continues to this day.

One of Paul's proudest and most surprising moments came last year, when he won the Over 70's competition. A fantastic achievement and a reflection of his dedication and love for bowls.

Paul describes Pelhams as a friendly and welcoming club, with a wonderful social side that makes it far more than just a place to play. His goal is to continue bowling for as long as he is fit and able, enjoying the exercise, friendships, and community spirit.

Being asked to serve as President is something Paul considers a great privilege, an honour and experience he will never forget. He hopes to do the role justice and support the club alongside our fantastic committee, helping ensure Pelhams continues to thrive.

Come on down and give it a go. Get fit. Make friends. Have fun. You will be welcomed with open arms.
