Pelhams Bowls Club

Meet Maggie Everett - our Ladies Captain for 2026

Maggie brings warmth, humour, and genuine passion to the role. Many of us already know and admire her both on and off the green.
When she first stepped onto the bowls green, she was excited but very nervous, determined not to let her team down. Since then, she has created some wonderful memories, including proudly winning the Area Triples match last year alongside teammates Jill Oliver and Margaret Johnston.
Away from bowls, Maggie is wonderfully creative, spending her time sewing and baking , two hobbies that reflect her patience, care, and attention to detail.
She originally joined bowls so she and Paul could enjoy exercise together, and quickly discovered something even more special - friendship, laughter, and a true sense of belonging
Maggie will be the first to say she is not always consistent, and that bowls is not as easy as it looks. But it is her love for the game and the club that truly defines her. From the occasional wood finding its way into the ditch behind her, to the excitement of being part of a Hot Shot team, she embraces every moment with humour and grace.
Her advice to new members is simple. Give it a go, enjoy it, and make new friends. For Maggie, bowls is about exercise, friendship, and the wonderful social spirit that makes Pelhams such a special place.
We are incredibly proud to have Maggie as our Ladies Captain and look forward to the season ahead under her leadership.
